Join the IGS Cork Chapter to explore the architectural riches of Tralee, Co. Kerry
Itinerary:
10.00am Meet at The Grand Hotel, Denny Street, Tralee for registration & refreshments.
10.30am Welcome and Talk on Denny Street by Victoria McCarthy, Conservation Officer with Kerry County Council.
11.15am Walking Tour of Tralee led by Michael O’Donnell, local historian, including Day Place and Holy Dominican Church
1.15pm Guided Tour of the Church of St John the Evangelist, Ashe Street.
2.00pm Lunch at The Grand Hotel, Denny Street.
3.30pm Visit to Kerry County Museum, Ashe Memorial Hall, Denny Street with introductory talk by Helen O'Carroll, Head Curator.
4.30pm Option to enjoy the nearby Town Park and view the exterior of the innovative Siamsa Tire building.
Tickets cost €70 (members), €80 (non-members) including lunch and must be purchased in advance by completing the booking form here.

Parking: The car park on Prince’s Street, opposite the Brandon Hotel, offers all-day parking and is about a seven-minute walk to The Grand Hotel. There are also other car parks in the vicinity of Denny Street.
Attendance: Participation at this event is for members and their guests only. Early booking is recommended as places are limited
Refunds Policy: Unfortunately, refunds can only be processed on the basis of 48 hours prior notice of cancellation to the committee member organising the event. In the event of the outing involving coach transport or prepayments, then refunds will only be possible on the basis that the vacated space is filled. All refunds are at the discretion of the committee.
