Cork Chapter visit to Clogheen Co. Tipperary

Join our Cork Chapter for 'A Tale of Two Lost Castles', a day tour to Clogheen, Co. Tipperary. HIghlights will include Glengarra Mountain Lodge (pictured), Burncourt Castle, and Shanbally Castle.

Itinerary:

10.00am Meet at the Kilcoran Lodge Hotel for registration & refreshments.

10.45am Glengarra Wood - Mountain Lodge.

11.30am Burncourt Castle, Clogheen

12.15pm Shanbally Castle site, Clogheen – vaulted basement visible

12.45pm Shanrahan Graveyard - O’Callaghan Mausoleum (Viscount Lismore)-

1.30pm Lunch, The Market Stone Restaurant, Clogheen.

3.00pm Walking tour of Clogheen

4.15pm Mount Melleray, church, museum & private burial place of the monks. Tea and scones will be served on arrival in the cafe.

Refreshments: Kilcoran Lodge & Mount Melleray

Lunch: The Market Stone Restaurant, Clogheen.

Tickets: cost €65 (members), €75 (non-members) including lunch and must be purchased in advance by completing the booking form available here.

Terms & Conditions: Participation at the discretion of the committee. No bookings accepted without payment. Limited places available. Preference will be given to members. Attendees must provide their own transport. Programme subject to change without notice.

Refunds Policy: Unfortunately, refunds can only be processed on the basis of 48 hours prior notice of cancellation to the committee member organising the event. In the event of the outing involving coach transport or prepayments, then refunds will only be possible on the basis that the vacated space is filled. All refunds are at the discretion of the committee.
