Doneraile Court was the seat of the St. Legers, Viscounts Doneraile. The present house was built in the early-eighteenth century possibly to the design of Isaac Rothery. The double bowed Regency garden front dates from circa 1800 with a later Victorian drawing room being added in the mid-nineteenth century, since demolished. It was restored by the society under the supervision of Arthur Montgomery. It has been restored once again by the OPW Heritage Division who have carried out admirable conservation work. The first floor rooms have been recently opened to the public and feature an exhibition of lost country houses of north Cork including a piece of stonework from the demolished ‘Bowen’s Court’ and a room dedicated to Elizabeth Bowen with a collection of her novels. The ‘Capability Brown’ inspired landscape surrounding Doneraile Court has remarkably survived intact. The house contains a fine collection of furniture and paintings. It also houses a unique collection of portrait miniatures and silhouettes assembled by Edmund Corrigan over the last seven years. His collection will be celebrated in a forthcoming publication

Laurentinum House was originally a seat of the Creaghs. The present house was originally a three storey Georgian house but altered in the mid-nineteenth century with the removal of the top floor and creation of wide overhanging eaves to create a fashionable Regency house. After decades of dereliction it has been rescued by Eileen and Michael and is now a comfortable family home.
