The Irish Georgian Society, Limerick Chapter, invites you to a guided tour of Glin Castle. Coffee and treats included. Book by 30 May.

Join us for a guided tour of Glin Castle - the magnificent heritage of more than thirty generations of an Anglo-Norman family, it was also home to the inspirational defender of Ireland's threatened architectural heritage, the late Desmond, Knight of Glin. His landscape designer daughter Catherine and her husband Dominic West have now taken on the mission of continuing the Fitzgerald legacy in Glin.

A perfect afternoon will be completed by tea/coffee, scones and sweet treats, and an opportunity to explore the extensive gardens overlooking the Shannon estuary. Fifteen acres of pleasure grounds are surrounded by formal lawns, a picturesque stream, meadow, winding gravel walks, and ancient oak trees.

Own transport is required; ample parking is available. Please note that the tour will be suitable for individuals with some limited mobility as no stairs will be involved, however there are no toilet facilities with universal access.
