Join us for this lecture by Donough Cahill, IGS Executive Director
For much of the twentieth century there was little official recognition or appreciation of the rich architectural heritage of Ireland’s cities, towns, and countryside. However, over the decades, attitudes changed while new legislation and improved economic circumstances worked to protect Ireland’s historic building stock. This talk will explore these themes as well as the threats that remain today and the success stories which provide encouragement for the future. Free event.
Registration & wine reception at City Assembly House, 58 South William Street from 6pm, talk at 6.30pm.
