Tuesday 3rd September: New Members Lecture: ‘City Assembly House – a Georgian gem’ with Donough Cahill, IGS Executive Director

Built in the 1760s by the Society of Artists in Ireland with the purpose of showcasing the work of artists of the time, the City Assembly House lies in the heart of Georgian Dublin and has been home to the Irish Georgian Society since 2013. This talk will trace the building’s history from its earliest days over 250 years ago and explore its extensive restoration by the Irish Georgian Society in recent times.
