Irish Georgian Society - Day Trip to Birr Castle, Co Offaly, the home of the Parsons family for 400 years.

Tour of the Castle led by the Earl and Countess of Rosse, followed by a guided tour of the formal gardens. Members will have lunch after the tour.

Afternoon access to the Science Centre, the Giant Telescope (the largest in the world when built in the 1840s) and the rest of the grounds.

Alison Rosse is one of four artists exhibiting at the Walled Gardens Exhibition opening in the City Assembly House on 23 September 2021.

9.15 am Sharp - Private coach departs and returns by 6.30 pm approximately.

Ticket Price: €80

Current Covid-19 regulations will be applied to the coach and lunch. They only allow 25 passengers to allow social distancing.
