London Chapter Somerset Country Visit - Picnic & Tea, Tuesday 2nd July

02.07.2024, 12:00 P.M.

Our London Chapter have arranged a very special visit to a private house in Somerset where we will be able to picnic in the grounds before enjoying a tour of some wonderful collections.

Inwood House (pictured above) is the family home of Count Richard de Pelet who has very kindly invited us to visit on Tuesday, 2nd July. Count Richard has had a long association with Christie's and has some very special collections which include pictures by well known artists.

We plan to arrive about 12 noon, have our picnic in the grounds around the house, then start the tour about 1.30pm. The tour of the house will be followed by a lovely traditional cream tea in the dining room.

*Please bring your own picnic*

Transport: For those wishing to travel by train, there is a train at 9.20am from London Waterloo, arriving at Templecombe at 11.25am. If you would like independent transport to the house, please contact Tina Graham as soon as possible. The cost of taxis or minibuses will be divided amongst those travelling.
Car drivers will be able to park on the drive up to the house and enjoy their picnics from the boots of their cars .. à la Royal Ascot car park.

Tickets: £45 pp
Priority will be given to members but please advise if you would like to bring a guest as we may be able to accommodate a few nearer the time.
