Wednesday 10th July: Walking Tour with Arran Henderson of Dublin Decoded ‘Temple Bar, Dublin: its history & architecture’
Temple Bar is a deeply historic area that dates back to Viking and medieval times, and it was a stronghold of Dublin’s merchant elite from the 1400s to the late 1700s. This walking tour showcases examples of architecture from the 1600s to award-winning contemporary buildings of the 1990s. Woven through our trail are fragments of social, medical, literary, and revolutionary history.
Meet at 11.15am with tour departing at 11.30am outside Saint Andrew’s Post Office, Saint Andrew’s Street, near Suffolk Street, D2.
