This talk forms part of Dublin City Council and the Irish Georgian Society's Celebrating Dublin’s Built Heritage, a series of talks to mark National Heritage Week (Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd August 2020

Tracing the Industrial Landscape of the Pembroke Township by Mary-Liz McCarthy

The talk will look at the industrial past of the area formerly known as the Pembroke Township, in the South East of Dublin City, and the various types of industries historically to be found in the Township.

Mary-Liz McCarthy MA, MUBC is an Assistant Architectural Conservation Officer with Dublin City Council. She has a special interest in industrial heritage. She is a member of ICOMOS Ireland’s Industrial Heritage National Scientific Council, a board member of the Industrial Heritage Association of Ireland and a member of ICOMOS’s International Scientific Committee on Industrial Heritage.
