The vision of the Irish Georgian Society is to conserve, protect and foster a keen interest and a respect for Ireland’s architectural heritage and decorative arts. These aims are achieved through its scholarly and conservation education programmes, through its support of conservation projects and planning issues, and vitally, through its members and their activities.

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Myrtle Allen, a long-time supporter of the Irish Georgian Society. Myrtle was an early advocate of the Society’s work and served for many years as Patron of our Cork chapter. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.

Rest in Peace.

An article about her lifetime achievements has featured in the Irish Times.
